The Club Committee, pictured during the 1997 Rally.
Chief Pilot and Officer i/c Bob McCloud in the left hand seat beside an ex OIC who had run the Club in the 70’s – anybody recognise him? Second from the right is Kev O’neal, the Club's Chief Engineer, and third from the right is John Horn, the CFI.

Steve Clark (left) and Mitch Page, two of many Club PPL's who showed that it was possible to build full professional careers in civil aviation.
One night in 1997 Steve and Mitch shared the flight deck of this CityFlyer Express ATR on a service to Dusseldorf - providing a fully-justified moment of nostalgic satisfaction for both as they overflew Laarbruch.

The final Club Rally in 1998.
A rally would consist of a few main components, namely the main navex competition, the spot landing, the dawn patrol, the evening party and prize giving and the best bit of all,.... the sitting around, chewing the fat and the chatting.

The very last Club Rally in 1998, just months before the station closed.
There was always the obligatory group photo to take, complete with village idiot to liven up the proceedings, in this case Steve Clark going inverted with lots of other names in the background including Ian Ramsey in black leather jacket, and a couple of Halton boys on the end.

High spirits at the very last Club Rally in 1998, just months before the station closed.
The guests enjoyed themselves just as the locals. Here Eva Paul, CFI at the Denham Pilot Centre, is happily being accosted by Luci Guernieri, also from the Denham Club, and Stack Butterley, the most entertaining Concorde Captain you could ever possibly meet.
